We’ve invited people with stolen bike police reports to our events for over a decade

Did you know that we invite people with stolen bike police reports to our events at 2:00 once all the bikes are tech checked and the owner is verified through our software?  We’ve done this service to those with stolen bikes since 2012 and no one has ever found their stolen bike.  

The Edmonton Police Service introduced #bikeindex at our #EdmontonBikeSwap event in 2015 and the Police and RCMP have retrieved bikes from pawn shops and online sales based on processes and our recording of the bike chain of ownership.  The police attend and support our events for which we are grateful.

We are honoured to be Bike Index Ambassadors, we’re the only Ambassadors in Calgary.

We don’t have stolen bikes at our bike swap events.

Stolen bike parts at our bike swap events? No, we also don’t sell bike parts – that’s a pretty bad rumour.
