Ever Active is a registered charity dedicated to the well-being of children and youth. As leaders in advancing physical activity, they work alongside schools and communities to encourage more children and families to choose active school travel, while improving safety in school zones. Through comprehensive school travel planning, Ever Active collaborates with school communities and local partners to create environments where walking and wheeling to school feels safe, supported, and achievable.

Together, our organizations bring complementary strengths to this work. Ever Active focuses on building the systems, partnerships, and culture that make active school travel possible. Alberta Bike Swap helps remove practical barriers by increasing access to affordable bicycles and promoting safe cycling practices within the community.

By aligning our efforts, we help ensure that families not only feel encouraged to choose active travel – but also have the tools and access needed to make it a realistic option.

Safety as a Standard:

• Educational Compliance: We do more than provide bikes — in partnership with Ever Active, we help ensure children and youth build the skills and confidence to walk and wheel safely in their communities, strengthening CAN-Bike programming within broader active school travel initiatives.
• The Tech Advantage: While Ever Active focuses on education & encouragement, we handle the logistics. Our proprietary Bicycle Swap Software ensures that every bike donated or exchanged is safety-checked, properly verified, and legally documented — providing confidence and accountability in every transaction.
• Carbon Literacy: Our partnership strengthens carbon literacy by helping students understand how transportation choices impact the environment and by making active travel a realistic option. Together, we connect climate awareness with practical action through walking and wheeling to school.
