Designing a Better Way: Our Strategic Alliance with Paths for People
What makes a city great? We believe it’s the ability to move through it safely, whether you’re on two wheels, four wheels, or on foot. Our Strategic alliance with Paths for People is helping turn that belief into a reality for all Edmontonians.
Paths for People is an Edmonton-based non-profit organization that advocates for better infrastructure and policies for active transportation. They are the voice for vulnerable road users, pushing for a city design that prioritizes human connection over traffic speed. Our Strategic alliance with Paths for People in Edmonton is built on a shared vision for a city where walking, rolling, and cycling are safe, enjoyable, and accessible for everyone. By combining our cycling education with their grassroots advocacy, we are helping to build a more connected and livable Edmonton.
Advocacy Meets Action:
- Infrastructure Advocacy: While Paths for People works on the where (better bike lanes and paths), Alberta Bike Swap provides the how (access to safe, affordable bicycles). Together, we are addressing both sides of the active transit equation.
- Data-Driven Impact: By promoting cycling as a viable way to commute, our partnership supports the Circular Economy.
- Community Synergy: Paths for People and Alberta Bike Swap is are proud to align our efforts to ensure that when people choose to ride, they have the infrastructure they deserve.
Chris and Laura believe that a bike is only as good as the path it’s on. By supporting Paths for People, we are investing in the long-term safety and sustainability of Edmonton’s streets.
