Edmonton Bike Swap is on May 14th, 2016 at Norwester Industrial Park, 11415 168 St NW.

Bike intake 8:00-2:00PM

Sale from 2:30-4:00PM

Please consider donating bicycles at this event.  We are collecting bicycles at this event for some fantastic groups, including #ymmfire #albertastrong

Calgary & Edmonton – 8:00 am until 2:00 pm

Lethbridge  9:00 am until 2:00 pm

Red Deer – 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm

It costs us ~$38.00 per bike before it gets on the rack. That’s why we have selling fees – but it likely will sell!

Please remember, we trying to keep good bikes in circulation, to the point that any bike brought to the swap should be ready to ride away when it is bought.  Bikes must be worth $50 as a minimum, and pass our basic tech check.   If your bike doesn’t make it into the swap, we’ll accept as a donation to our community bike shop friends.

A Rack Fee of $15.00 per bike is due at drop-off time:

Show your AMA card to save $5.00 off the Rack Fee, per bike.  We love our sellers, but we gotta see the card to pass on the deal, just like any other business.

When your bike sells it costs 12% of the set selling price

In the rare chance your bike doesn’t find a new home, remember that 90% sell, we’ll get in touch (cell phone is best) and let you know to pick it up.  We only have the space until 5:00 PM (9:00 PM Red Deer).  Any bikes that aren’t picked up will be donated to Good Life Community bikes (Calgary), Edmonton Bike Commuters (Edmonton), or the Red Deer Optimists where they can find a new owner. Yes, we`ll talk to groups that need bikes too.

Admission: $2.00 admission for adults, while kids 12 and under are free.  This money is donated to a local non-profit bike group*.

Payment is by CASH or DEBIT.  We do not accept credit cards so we can donate more back into the community.

All bikes on the floor have undergone a basic tech check to make sure you don’t end up with an unsafe ride!

There is usually a rack of AS-IS bikes that didn’t pass the inspection, but would be a good ride for the person ready to put a bit of TLC into a new ride. This money is donated to a local non-profit bike group*.

The line-ups can be long.  The line-up to buy starts when we’re setting up racks at 0730 in the morning in Calgary and Edmonton.  If you want first dibs on a bike, please consider volunteering, rather than lining up.  Lining up from 0730-1430 when the sale begins is a long time to stand still.  Even if you are 3129 in line, you will still likely get a bike, but likely not the one you want.

Lethbridge, Calgary and Edmonton – starts at 2:30 pm and runs until 4:00 pm

Red Deer starts at 7:15 pm and runs until 8:45 pm

*Money collected at the door and donated bike money is given to: Edmonton Bicycle Commuter Society in Edmonton, BikeBridge in Lethbridge, Two Wheel View and Good Life Community Bicycles in Calgary, and Red Deer Optimists in Red Deer.
